Art Therapy for Schools & Organisations by Art Psychotherapist Martin Hyde (HCPC: AS019298)
I’m Martin Hyde, an Art Psychotherapist fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC: AS019298) and based on the border of Derbyshire and Staffordshire in the Peak District.
My practice is relational, inclusive, and rooted in psychodynamic and trauma-informed approaches. I support children, young people, and adults to explore their experiences through art-making, reflection, and therapeutic connection.
My therapeutic interest includes working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. My MA research focused on depression and masking, and my own lived experience of navigating mental health services informs my compassionate, authentic approach to therapeutic work.
With over 20 years as a professional artist and workshop facilitator, I bring a unique combination of creative insight, clinical training, and emotional attunement to my work.
Partnering with Organisations
My services are provided solely through commissioned organisational partnerships. I work with schools (primary and secondary), mental health services, hospitals, arts therapies companies, charities, community projects, and arts organisations to deliver compliant, professional, and effective therapeutic support.
I am currently accepting new partnership enquiries.
"Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses visual and tactile media as a means of self expression and communication. Art therapists aim to support people of all ages and abilities and at all stages of life, to discover an outlet for often complex and confusing feelings, and foster self awareness and growth."
